It is a great elective where you get to work with your friends to make a project together which is learning the song which is of your choice.

Something I have enjoyed about learning my song is the drums. The drums have really allowed me to go outside my comfort zone and allowed me to explore and try something new.

The drums were obviously the most difficult. I wasn't used to playing something so hard and having to play two instruments was very challenging.

SOR is an amazing experience! I would seriously consider joining. It has you trying new things, working in a group, making new friends and to learn to experience new things. It taught me so much and I would always carry this subject with me since I loved it so much! Try it!

Playing all together and practicing.

Trying to learn all together.

What could you say to other people wanting to join School of Rock?

I would definitely recommend choosing school of rock as an elective because it’s like advanced year 7 music so it really helps you become more fluent with different instruments of your choice. As well as the variety of instruments there are available, there is a lot of freedom where you can just sit and listen to music while trying to learn how to play.
